Brandon Turner Net Worth: As of 2023, Brandon has amassed a net worth of over $10 million in his short time as an investor.

The former Bigger Pockets podcast host first began investing in real estate at the age of 21. He bought a cheap house, flipped it for 20K profit and that got him hooked. This continued for a while with Brandon doing a lot of the work himself.

It became exhausting and he felt that the time he spent rehabbing homes held him back from searching for and purchasing other properties. Eventually, he moved on from flipping and started buying larger multi-family properties and eventually scaled to 1500 units.

Open Door Capital LLC

He later founded Open Door Capital, LLC which helps clients achieve superior risk-adjusted returns by investing in larger commercial assets such as apartment buildings, mobile home parks and storage facilities.

Real estate investment trusts (REIT’s) are trending as people have a growing interest in earning passive income by investing in real estate.  Websites such as Fundrise and Crowdstreet have gained popularity in recent years and many investors are seeing 8-9% annual returns with their money.

Here is a review the top REITs for 2023.

Co-Host of Bigger Pockets Podcast

Brandon Turner is also a co-host of the Bigger Pockets podcast, one of the largest real estate investment communities. The Bigger Pockets Podcast has over 75,000,000 downloads and over 350 unique episodes. Bigger Pockets was founded by Josh Dorkin in 2004 with a vision to create the largest real estate investor network and website. Mission accomplished.

BRRRR Method

Of all his accomplishments, Brandon is probably most well known for coining the phrase “BRRRR”. BRRRR stands for Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat. BRRRR is a strategic approach to purchasing rental properties. It works best if you are able to get a great deal, under market value, that needs some repair. This strategy, if done right, can allow someone to quickly build up a cash flowing rental portfolio.

Brandon Turner Books

In addition to all of his other accolades, Brandon is also an accomplished author and has written the following books:

“The Book on Rental Property Investing”

“How to Invest in Real Estate, the Beginners Guide for Getting Started”

“The Book on Investing in Real Estate with Low (and no) Money Down”

“The Book on Managing Rental Properties: Find, Screen, and Manage Tenants with Fewer Headaches and Maximum Profits”

Some say he is the best selling real estate author of all time. I don’t have the link or stats to back that up, but I would not be surprised!
